We have been busy all summer getting the soap studio up and running – and we’re in production!  Our sweet herd of dairy goats has kept us in a constant supply of fresh goat’s milk that we have used as a key ingredient in making some wonderful soaps and lotions.  We have been building up the inventory to prepare for several craft shows this fall.  And we now have our website up as well – please check us out at http://www.rooranch.net/.  The soap pictured below is one of my favorites – made with goat’s milk, honey from our bees, moisturizing oils and a little oatmeal for exfoliation.

Kidding season is upon us!  So far we have 21 kids on the ground.  It is such a wonderful thing to watch these young kids jumping, running, climbing.  Now that the does are back in milk, it’s time to make soap!  I made small batch of cold process goat’s milk soap with oatmeal and scented with lilac.  It’s curing now and will be ready in about 6 weeks.  Also made some yummy lemongrass scented goat’s milk lotion – a nice light lotion with a refreshing scent.  I love springtime!
