Chocolatte (Choco for short) is one of our favorite LaMancha dairy goats. Born in 2007, her registered name is JAQ’s Taquila Whitney. She joined our herd as a 4-H show goat for our daughter. Choco has a wonderful disposition, and has joined us at many dairy goat shows and county fairs over the years. She was even invited to a Christmas Eve service at our church, where she joined the pastor at the pulpit while he gave his 30 minute Christmas Eve sermon. (We attend a suburban church, so she was a bit of a novelty). Choco did very well, standing quietly and not leaving any surprises at the alter! As she is one of the “senior” goats in the herd, she takes on a leadership role with many of the younger goats, and also is good at training any new farm dogs. We are excitedly anticipating her upcoming due date – we expect to see new kids within the week! Watch our Facebook page for first pictures of the new arrivals.
